HOT!!!

Since I was asked to write a play script for a major production, I have been quite busy these days...

Anyway, it's been really hot in Tokyo!! I have started to carry a parasol a couple years ago and I am amazed how much it works!
Wearing a hat is better than nothing but it makes me sweat. A parasol keeps me cool and it doesn't mess my hair up.
So many women use parasols in Japan just like the picture...but not men.
Why don't they make summer parasols for men???
If they change the image of parasols, men can use them without hesitation.
What do you think?

Hello, Kay,

I wonder what kind of story the play script is.
Maybe "Love Love Parasol"? … Sorry, just a pun.

You're right. It's a goog idea for men to carry a parasol, especially for bald-headed guys.
Don't get me wrong. My hair is still surviving.
"Hair today, gone tomorrow", though. Another pun "Here today, gone tomorrow". Get it?

Write to you again,

I don't think using parasol is a bad idea, especially when it gets rainy...

We are experiencing monsoon rains here in the Philippines for the past few days now. Mornings are very sunny, but rains fall at dusk.

Fung-Wong just passed here a couple of days ago and went to Taiwan yesterday. I wonder if Ives was alright...

Dear Kay,
I couldn't agree more with ur point- a proper parasol for men cuz we men are still eager to keep away from the sun, especially in such a hot days>"<

To Jayson,
Although Taiwan is striken by the typhoon, i am still OK!
Thank u ^^"

Hi Kay

It never gets hot enough here for parasols, haha.

My girlfriend's parents had to leave Tokyo for the cooler weather here in the UK because the heat and humidity is affecing her mother.
When I go to Tokyo in November it will be cooler ^_^

Writing a play must be exciting. I create comics for a website and a magazine as a hobby and THAT is exciting for me.

Ives,
How are things going on there in Taiwan?

Iain,
You are making comics for a website and a magazine, right? How about posting the URL where the comic strips are seen? I'm very sure all of us will have fun reading it...

Hi Kay!

Well, probably men don't want to bring any excess accessories aside from suitcases and other bags. It's alright for men to walk under the hot sun without a parasol.

It's the middle of the rainy season here and I often bring my clear plastic umbrella whenever I go out. That kind of umbrella is very common and numerous in Japan but here in the Philippines, it's still a rarity. People often stare and smile a little at the sight of my umbrella. Sometimes I get random compliments like, "nice umbrella, mate" or "what a cute thing".

I take good care of its use so it won't be easily destroyed and worn-out as that kind of umbrella is meant to be disposed of.

Jayson

I don't think Kay's blog is the place to promote our work.

Thanks for interest though - I only mentioned it to say how I am also excited by being creative.
