Today is "Greenery day" or "Midori no hi" in Japan. So, I went to Shinjuku Gyoen 
(my favorite park in Tokyo) to enjoy fresh green. The photo on the left was taken at Japanese garden.

It was drizzling for a while so I also enjoyed the smell of green.
I like to be in Tokyo during the Golden Week. It is much less crowded here.

Oh, yes I do...!In fact, I have a folder in our computer which is filled with theme songs of anime series played there. It's very sad to note however, that we are not connected to cable TV anymore, and is not really updated with the famous songs there in Japan...
And, its nice that the Japanese celebrate such a holiday...And, it's also nicer to know that you can enjoy staying on one of the parks in your capital city...It only shows that everybody there is doing their parts...Here however, laws enforced are for decoration purposes only, and the funds go to the officials' pockets(NOTE: there are many of them that you would really like to kick them on the butt...). I wish I'm also there...
By the way, I may not reply regularly to your posts starting June 10 because classes will start from that date onwards...
Before I forget, I also have Naotaro Moriyama's "Sakura" here...I remember your farewell episode whenever I hear it...

I admire how the Japanese give importance to nature.
I read on a book about how Japanese children are taught to appreciate nature. The children are told that "Mt. Fuji is the most beautiful mountain. It is a gift from God. The sakura is the most beautiful flower. It is a gift from God."
We have similar parks here in Manila that is full of greenery. Those are the Chinese and Japanese Gardens in Rizal Park and the La Mesa Watershed that is the last remaining forest in Manila, to name a few.

If you could remember, Sakura was also dedicated to Ryan Drees when he left the show. It was a sad occassion...
